Join us at Chicken & Pickle in Oklahoma City, Thursday, April 16 for OKC's Engineer's Night Out!  Whether you want to just hang out and be social or try your luck on the courts, it will be a great time!  We have reserved a couple of courts and appetizers will be provided.  A cash bar will be available.  No need to register, but we hope you will make plans to join us!

Join us for Lunch and a Tour of the Edmond Coffee Creek Water Resources Recovery Facility.
The Coffee Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) in Edmond, Oklahoma, has evolved from a traditional sewage treatment plant into a sophisticated, state-of-the-art water reclamation center. Its history is defined by Edmond's rapid population growth and increasingly stringent environmental standards. The facility was originally established in 1972 to manage the wastewater needs of the growing Edmond community.  The plant treats wastewater before discharging it into Coffee Creek, a tributary of the Deep Fork River. The WRRF underwent a major modernization in the late 2010’s, which increased the treatment capacity to 12 MGD and implemented a Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) process to specifically target the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. As part of the upgrade, the disinfection process switches from chlorine gas to a more environmentally friendly UV disinfection system.
 
The tour will be led by Superintendent of Operations, Roy Fife, and Wastewater Treatment Superintendent, Ruben Ayala. They will walk attendees through the complete treatment process from headworks to disinfection and discharge.

Please use the south gate (the first gate you reach when coming from the N Midwest & Danforth intersection).
Use the call button to notify the administration staff that you are there, and they will open the gate for you.
The parking lot is at the top of the hill on the right. The Administration Building is directly across from the parking lot.
Please use the double doors just past the flagpole. There is a call button on the wall to the right of the doors.
The training room is to the right of the reception desk.
